Where form meets function

Going against convention, Porsche lifted the veil on its most powerful, street-legal 911 ever at Xbox’s press conference at E3 2017. The announcement coincided with the preview of Forza Motorsport 7, a flagship title for Xbox’s upcoming One X console, appropriately the most powerful console ever built.

Featuring a twin-turbo flat-six engine that pumps out around 650hp, with some reports citing 700hp, the Porsche 911 GT2 RS should give the Lamborghini Huracan Performante a run for its money on the Nurburgring. Details are scarce but early rumors suggest a 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint time of less than 3 seconds, with a top speed pushing beyond 330km/h (205mph).

Expect more details from Porsche direct in the coming weeks. For now, check out a preview of the car below and watch the trailer for Forza Motorsport 7, which features the Porsche 911 GT2 RS on the cover, above.
