Tune in and turn up

A few weeks ago, Washed Out made a surprise return with a song titled “Get Lost,” an elastic summer boogie that was a personal favorite here at HS Music. Now comes news that is about as big as updates get; “Get Lost” is set to appear on Mister Mellow, a just-announced full-length that will also serve as a visual album. Peep the record’s trippy teaser below.

If the imagery of pills falling in slow motion doesn’t clue you in, the full visual statement promises to be of the psychedelic variety. Mister Mellow will be producer Ernest Greene’s second album proper as Washed Out, and recording for the project was reportedly done entirely by himself. Greene also tweeted the album’s cover art, which is every bit as insane as the teaser.

Mister Mellow is out on June 30 via Stones Throw Records.

In other music news, Lana del Rey has shared a teaser of a song titled “Change” set to appear on her upcoming full-length ‘Lust for Life.’ Listen to it right here.
