After its initial sneak peek in April, the second trailer for Detroit courtesy of Annapurna Pictures gives us a further glimpse at the upcoming flick.

Directed by Academy Award-winning director Kathryn Bigelow -- The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty -- Detroit depicts a civil rebellion over the course of five days during the summer of 1967, and it's noted as one of the largest citizen uprisings in United States history.

The latest trailer above showcases an interrogation between John Boyega's character Melvin Dismukes and two U.S. agents, while sequences of the civil unrest is framed throughout.

Detroit will hit theaters on Friday, August 4, 2017 to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the riots.
