Following a teaser in April, CBS Films unveils the official trailer for American Assassin, an upcoming movie adaptation of Vince Flynn’s bestselling 2010 novel.

The film centers on the rise of Mitch Rapp played by actor Dylan O’Brien, a CIA black ops recruit under the instruction of Cold War veteran Stan Hurley portrayed by Michael Keaton. The pair is then enlisted by CIA Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Sanaa Lathan) to investigate a wave of apparently random attacks on both military and civilian targets, while also stopping a mysterious operative that is plotting to start a World War in the Middle East.

With this latest trailer showcasing the film stunts, from a barrage of hand-to-hand combat to gun fights and car chases -- American Assassin hits theaters on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Now watch the new Game of Thrones season 7 footage teasing the brutal wars to come.
