Where the runway meets the street

It’s fair to say that fashion’s love affair with the Birkenstock over the last few years has been long and winding. We’ve seen the likes of Celine and Givenchy rehash the iconic sandal-based silhouette on the runway, but it seems nobody can do it quite as well as BIRKENSTOCK, the original purveyors of the contoured cork-filled footbed.

Even colette, the ultra-trendy bricks-and-mortar concept store in Paris is obsessed. The Parisan store has collaborated with the German footwear giant on a limited edition Arizona model, which is one of the brand’s most iconic styles.

The Arizona has just dropped in black leather with colette-blue laser printed Polka Dots and blue fabric-feel buckles. The style features the narrow footbed with an all-black leather-covered insole.

Only 200 styles will be available in women’s and men’s sizes at colette on June 24th only and on www.colette.fr in women’s and men’s sizes. If you’ve missed out, a second drop of the same style is set to follow in late July.
