Today Maserati took the opportunity to unveil its 2018 GranTurismo at the New York Stock Exchange. Showcased in “Grigio Granito,” the luxury vehicle, with its supple black leather interior, was on display at Experience Square, in the main entrance of the NYSE.
The GranTurismo accounts for the latest Maserati designed by Pininfarina, here coming optioned in two versions: Sport and MC. Each edition welcomes a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine — hand-built by Ferrari — capable of cranking out 460 hp at 7,000 rpm and 384 foot-pound of torque at 4,750 rpm. A six-speed ZF Automatic Gearbox is then attached directly to the V8 powerhouse. Before topping out at 187 mph, the Sport option travels from 0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds, while the MC makes its way to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds, then maxing out at 187 mph.
The overall design of the 2018 GranTurismo now notes a new “sharknose” hexagonal grille, thus adding a three-dimensional effect to its frontal view. All in all, the grille aids in improving airflow distribution and reducing aerodynamic drag, alongside the lower air ducts. The rear bumper has been redesigned as well, here with a cleaner design featuring a twofold layout for the Sport and MC versions.
Inside, you will find individual Poltrona Frau leather seats with integrated headrests, Alcantara and leather upholstery, a new high resolution 8.4-inch capacitive touchscreen, and Harman Kardon Premium Sound system.
