Following last year's initial look at the cast, this week Sony has made available the first trailer for its upcoming Jumanji reboot. Dubbed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan and Jack Black, collectively playing the avatars of a group of high schoolers who get sucked into the ancient game while playing during detention.
Seeing as it's 2017, these teenagers are enjoying Jumanji in retro video game form, as they each were then allowed to pick their own avatar. Upon being drawn into the game's jungle setting, they discover that you don't just play Jumanji, you survive it. The quartet must discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves, or else they’ll be stuck in the game forever.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle also stars Missi Pyle, Bobby Cannavale, Rhys Darby, Tim Matheson and Nick Jonas, and is due in theaters December 20.
