What’s better than a catchy, dancefloor-ready banger? A catchy, dancefloor-ready banger with an audacious anti-creep message, that’s what. Hailing from “The Moon” by way of Austin, Texas, CAPYAC is a mysterious dance music duo that’s one half swamp baby (P. Sugz) and one half agave plant (Potion). Their sounds are always party-ready, ranging from R&B influenced downtempo jams, UK bass-wise future soul, and electro house ragers.
Their latest is “Bubblegum,” a track that will instantly transport you a nightclub in a galaxy far, far away. CAPYAC have enlisted “professional shapeshifting weirdo” KD Kinetic for vocal duties, and according to her, “Bubblegum unpacks the buildup of female frustration into a rousing “BITCH” while still providing a catchy pop song that I think even misogynists could accidentally find themselves dancing too.” Watch it below.

Potion gave us the scoop on the origin story of their latest track and video: "Bubblegum started out as a sketch on the Prophet 08 synthesizer. Sugz wrote the lyrics, and we asked KD to come in and rap even though she had never done it before. Helmut Studio produced the video, which was directed by world-famous director Ursula Barker and shot in her living room. It was a very cold day."
