Early critics’ reviews for Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk are already in and they’re overwhelmingly positive. While the official reviews aren’t out yet, critics who caught the preview screenings couldn’t help but share their thoughts on Twitter.

The film follows the real-life story of allied soldiers trapped on Dunkirk beach by Nazi forces, and the heroic evacuation efforts to save them. The film stars Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Fionn Whitehead and Harry Styles, among others.

While Twitter’s 140 character count kept reviews short, critics called the film “phenomenal,” “an absolute force,” and a “triumph.” They also only had good things to say about Harry Styles’ acting debut. Read our selection of the reviews below.

Dunkirk will hit theaters July 21. To bide you over until then, watch the thrilling trailers for the movie below.

In other movie news, Quentin Tarantino is apparently making a movie about the Manson family murders.
