A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel written by American writer Madeleine L'Engle, that was first published in 1963, and it’s releasing in a live-action adaptation next year.

Directed by Ava DuVernay, the first African-American woman to direct a movie with a budget over $100 million -- this first official trailer features Meg portrayed by young actress Storm Reid looking for her father (played by Chris Pine), a brilliant scientist who caught the attention of some supernatural forces. The teaser takes audiences across dimensions of time and space, examining the nature of darkness versus light and ultimately, the triumph of love.

With additional glimpses of Reese Witherspoon as “Mrs. Whatsit,” Mindy Kaling as “Mrs. Who,” and Oprah as “Mrs. Which” — the star cast also includes Michael Peňa, Levi Miller, Deric McCabe, André Holland, Rowan Blanchard and Zach Galifianakis.

A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters on Friday, March 9, 2018.

Also, Disney announces the ‘Aladdin’ cast with Will Smith as genie.
