Based on the bestselling novel by Jo Nesbø, Universal has unleashed the first trailer for its upcoming horror-thriller, The Snowman. The film is directed by Tomas Alfredson, as Michael Fassbender plays Harry Hole, a detective who is looking into the disappearance of particular female.

With the help of Rebecca Ferguson, Fassbender quickly finds out they are looking for a sadistic serial killer who is on the prowl for women he disapproves of.

Joining Fassbender and Ferguson are Charlotte Gainsbourg, Val Kilmer and J.K. Simmons, as The Snowman, which lands in theaters October 20, is expected to be one of the better films of the year.
