The hunt for the next Bond is over — and surprise — it's Daniel Craig.

After shooting his fourth Bond film, Spectre, Craig announced that he'd "rather slit his wrists" than reprise his role as the famous spy, and even turned down a $100 million two-film deal.

This sparked a search for the next bond, with stars like Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston and James Norton reportedly in the running. But now, The New York Times reports that Craig has officially signed on for the next Bond film.

While no details of the deal have been made public, rumors circulating last year suggested that Craig had been offered a $150 million deal to reprise the role, so it's safe to say he will be rewarded very generously for his time.

While details for the next Bond movie are currently thin, we do know that 007 veterans Neal Purvis and Robert Wade have been brought on board to write the screenplay. Information on the cast and director will come “at a later date," according to the film's studios.

The next Bond film will hit US theaters November 8, 2019.
