London-based skate brand Theobalds Cap Co. joins forces with infamous South London skate film maker Henry Edwards-Wood once again for this new skateboard short film, ATHLETICS.

Essentially exploring the relationship between skateboarding in it’s many forms and the differences between skateboarding and other sports in the Olympics, the visuals feature Theobalds Cap Co. riders Jeremy Jones, Jake Bidmead, Joel Banner, Kyle Wilson, Cam Barr as well as many cameos and guest appearances by various Southbank related workers, friends and lurkers.

Captured over a few weekends in London, this skate promo parodies a good old fashioned skate mission with the prestige, drama and spectacle of Olympic scale sporting events.

Additionally, ATHLETICS touches on the new Long Live Southbank campaign, dedicated to preserving the Southbank Undercroft and its diverse creative community which has become the home of British skateboarding and an iconic center for urban arts. It has been closed off to the public since 2004.
