While many eagerly await the arrival of Super Smash Bros. — which hasn’t been announced but will seemingly happen at some point — a similar indie game, Brawlout, is scheduled to come to Nintendo Switch this year. Early Access on Steam was granted back in April, allowing gamers to play around with the title’s first six characters.
In addition to the Nintendo Switch announcement, Brawlout has also unveiled a new character, Hyper Light Drifter. As pointed out by Engadget, Drifter draws similarities to that of Marth from Super Smash Bros.
News of Brawlout coming to Nintendo Switch is particularly huge for indie games hoping to find themselves on the console.
Again, look for the title to arrive before the end of 2017.
