A super rare Kobe Bryant-edition pair of Air Jordan IIIs just sold at auction for $30,400 on eBay.
Listed as “New with box,” the pair is highly collectible by any measure, thanks to their uncanny backstory. During Bryant’s 2002-03 season with the Lakers, Kobe had just departed from adidas and was enjoying life without the complications of a sneaker endorsement. At the time, the 24-year-old switched between footwear from AND1, Converse, Nike, and Air Jordans like the XI, VIII, and the player-exclusive IIIs shown above.
Last year in 2016, the same colorway was issued as a friends and family release, which you may have spotted on the feet of DJ Khaled.
