With the U.S. seemingly as divided as it’s been in quite some time, Jordan Brand has decided to show support for Black Lives Matter with a new iteration of the Air Jordan 1. Unveiled via JB’s Frank Cooker, there is no word if the shoe is merely a sample or if it will actually make its way to retail.
Regardless, the 1s boast a black-on-black look, with Black Lives Matter hashtag branding on ankle straps. Tonal waxed laces then accompany the pair.
As Sole Collector points out, Jordan Brand has regularly released Black History Month sneakers in the past, but the company has yet to openly support the Black Lives Matter movement with any product.
Would you cop if these were to release?
Jordan also recently unveiled its upcoming Flyknit Air Jordan 1.
