How cool is this? Nike has announced the “Nike NBA Jersey with NikeConnect,” a connected jersey that allows the wearer to cop exclusive kicks, access highlight reels, exclusive content and much more, simply by tapping a tag with their smartphone.

The futuristic jerseys, which come bearing the NikeConnect logo, is another first for The Swoosh, with no word yet on whether they’ll roll out similar uniforms for other sports like football (with the World Cup taking place next year, don’t rule it out). After launching the app (which is available for both Android gadgets with NFC capability and iOS11 enabled phones), tapping the phone against an NFC chip located under the jock tag will launch a world of exclusive basketball content. Here’s a demonstration:

While highlight reels and player stats are exciting, it’s the access to rare sneakers that will pique the interest of many.

The new technology-ready jerseys will arrive in stores on Friday, September 29 at Nike retailers, online and at NBA’s official website, priced at $200 for the Authentic and $110 for the “Swingman” replica.
