Earlier in the summer, Nike officially announced its partnership with the NBA which would come into effect during the upcoming 2017-2018 season. Following yesterday’s NikeConnect reveal, we can now peep a closer look at the new alternate jerseys.
Dubbed the “Statement Edition,” the jerseys arrive in a variety of individual styles, with some featuring advertisements from brands including Disney and Harley Davidson. Each jersey features the aforementioned NikeConnect technology. In addition, Nike has also announced pre-game apparel for the players in the form of the Therma Flex Showtime Warm-up Jacket:
Commenting on the new partnership, Nike Chairman Mark Parker expressed his excitement. “When you think about basketball, you think of Nike and the NBA,” he said. “After helping fuel the sport’s impact for years, we are thrilled to now be able to push the boundaries of what’s possible directly with the NBA. From modernizing the look of the game to revolutionizing how fans can be a part of it, we can’t wait for the season to start.”
