Tune in and turn up

Post Malone is currently touring across the U.S. Earlier this month in Maryland, he treated fans to an acoustic cover of Green Day’s “Basket Case” from the band’s 1994 album Dookie. On Monday, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong shared footage of Malone’s performance via Twitter, adding “hey this is pretty cool!”

Before the Texan rapper blew up with his debut single “White Iverson,” he learned how to play guitar thanks to the video game Guitar Hero, teaching himself via YouTube tutorials and playing in a hardcore band in high school.

Just yesterday, the “Rockstar” broke an impressive Apple Music streaming record. His collaboration with 21 Savage became the song on the platform with the most streams in one week, beating out DJ Khaled’s previous record for “I’m the One” by racking up an impressive 25 million streams.
