The nominees for this year’s inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame have been revealed, and Radiohead seem destined for greatness. The iconoclastic alternative rock band, along with the incomparable Rage Against the Machine, are nominated in their first year of eligibility – which is 25 years after their first proper release.

Other notable first-time nominees in this year’s crop of artists are Nina Simone, Kate Bush and Eurythmics. Familiar faces that have been contenders in the past and are returning once more includes the likes of LL Cool J, The Cars and Bon Jovi.
