Though there are still a few months left in 2017, it seems pretty clear that Kendrick Lamar‘s DAMN. is among the most (if not the most) important albums of the year. And listeners seem to agree; the record has officially clocked in 25 consecutive weeks in the Top 10 of the Billboard charts.

This is, needless to say, a pretty impressive feat. Since being released almost six months ago in April, DAMN. has hardly wavered from the Top 5, only to slip into the Top 10 in the past few weeks. The only other album that has come close to these figures is Ed Sheeran’s ÷, which has been in the top for 27 weeks, but only 20 of them consecutive. This brings Kendrick very close to eclipsing the record set by Drake last year, whose album VIEWS was in the Top 10 for a whopping 30 weeks.
