New York architecture firm LOT-EX has built a single-family home entirely out of abandoned shipping containers. Dubbed the Carrol House, the building was made specifically for the land — a corner lot on a street in Williamsburg.
The ground floor of the diagonal space features a kitchen, dining and living room, as well as a media room with tiered seating.
The first-floor consists of two containers for the kids’ room and a playroom, while the top floor hosts open plan master bedroom and dressing room. Each level also has a dedicated outdoor space, with the container walls providing privacy.
