Her debut EP has just arrived, and it's clear from what we've heard so far that Satica is an artist to keep your eyes (and ears) on. The former Kpop songwriter has a serious ear for pop music, not to mention an affinity for hip-hop-oriented beats, resulting in quite a cocktail of an earworm. Look no further than her new single "You Are Here" for proof, stream it below.
Speaking on the track, Satica tells us that "The concept revolves around the emotion of longing for someone so intensely that he/she would be willing to go above and beyond just to have that person stay. I intentionally wrote the song to be a simple one-way conversation of this character basically begging someone to stay by presenting all of these different places they can go and different things they can do as long as they are together. I didn't want the lyrics to be complicated because in a real life scenario, the feeling is simple, you miss them and you love being around them but sometimes it hurts."
"You Are Here" appears on the just-released Drippin' EP, stream it in full here.
