While Zaha Hadid Architects‘ proposed monumental skyscraper project in Midtown Manhattan unlikely to go ahead due to lack of investors, the architectural firm’s luxurious residential tower at 520 West 28th Street is now open to residents.
The first photos of the lobby and amenity spaces have been revealed, giving us a first look inside the 11-story building which rises next to the High Line in West Chelsea and houses 39 bespoke residences.
A few of the building’s notable amenities include a 75-foot-long skylight-lit pool, an entertainment lounge with a complete kitchen, a fully equipped gym, 24-hour juice bar and a spa suite containing a hot tub, rain showers, treatment beds, a plunge pool, sauna and steam room.
The most striking feature however, is the addition of a 12-seat IMAX theater, one of the first private IMAX theaters in the world. Unfortunately, the space is reserved for residents of the building only.
In regard to pricing, a two-bedroom goes for approximately $4.95 million USD while the penthouse suite is listed at a cool $50 million USD.
