Kevin Spacey has come out as gay following allegations of sexual misconduct made against him by Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp.

Rapp alleged that when he was 14 and Spacey was 26, the actor climbed on top of him and made sexual advances during a party. Speaking to BuzzFeed, which first reported the allegations, Rapp said, “I still to this day can't wrap my head around so many aspects of it. It's just deeply confusing to me.”

Spacey released a response on Twitter, writing that he did not remember the incident, but described it as "deeply inappropriate, drunken behavior." The actor then used the statement to come out as gay, writing: "I choose now to live as a gay man." Read Spacey's full statement below.
