While currently on a world tour in support of Humanz — and seemingly working on an upcoming “surprise” album — Gorillaz come out of nowhere this week to unleash a new tune dubbed “Garage Palace.” The track in turn finds the Damon Albarn-led outfit linking with British rapper/singer, Little Simz.

The collaborative tune was premiered today by Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show, as Simz’s rapid flow bounces beautifully over-top trance-centric instrumentation.

“I just was really struck by her kind of individualism,” Albarn told Lowe when speaking on the song’s collaborator. “She’s just not part of a scene, which is great for her.”
