Sneakers
From the ground up

In light of Nike’s 35th anniversary project, celebrating the Air Force 1 silhouette, John Elliot was one of many influential designers asked to lend their hand to the famed sneaker.

According to John’s Instagram post (pictured below), the only stipulation for participating in the project was that the shoe had to be all white. Despite the sizable limitation, the designer “tried to craft details that could potentially create color.” Having expressed his design prowess through the most minute details, the special edition John Elliot Air Force 1 sneakers feature a layered deubré, layered aglets, and a double layered tongue.

The question is now however, whether or not this collaboration will somehow surpass the popularity of this year’s Vandal.

For more crisp white Nike silhouettes, the brand just released its “Winter Whites” pack here.
