Naked & Famous Denim has joined forces with Capcom for a special release centering around arcade classic, Street Fighter II. The jeans in turn feature the characters Ryu and Guile, each designed to embody the persona of the individual they are based on.
Made in Canada from denim that was woven on old-fashioned shuttle looms in the Okayama prefecture of Japan, the yarns are dyed with indigo in a special process called rope dying. Due to the intricate development, in which only the outermost layers of the cotton yarn absorb indigo dye, leaving the core of the yarn white, the jeans will gradually shed layers of indigo and slowly reveal a uniquely faded pair of denim.
You can look forward to the collaboration arriving this month at select Naked & Famous Denim suppliers worldwide. Retail is $184 USD.
