Although the craze has died down, when Pokémon Go initially dropped, virtually everyone was walking around trying to collect ’em all. As a followup, Niantic is said to be launching a somewhat similar Harry Potter AR game in 2018, co-developed by Warner Bros. Interactive and its new sub-brand, Portkey Games.

Rumors of a Harry Potter Niantic title began to circulate last year, although they were quickly rebuffed. Now, however, the app is official, albeit details surrounding the game are slim.
