The Chief Official White House Photographer for President Obama, Pete Souza, has released a photo book titled, Obama: An Intimate Portrait.
The 352-page book features Souza’s favorite images from the Obama presidency, showing a mixture of candid moments of the president at work alongside more intimate times with his family.
During his eight years working with Obama in the White House, Souza took an estimated 1.9 million photos. As he told NPR, the key to his success was “trying to be a piece of the woodwork” so he could take his photo unnoticed.
We’re almost one year into Trump’s term so for those nostalgic for the Obama years, this book couldn’t have come at a better time.
