After an astonishing 22 years helping man the helm of the Swoosh, Jordan Brand’s former design director Ken Link has supposedly made the leap over to adidas. The word “supposedly” must be stressed for now, as news of his move to the Three-Stripes, has only come into being as a result of the man himself literally posting three stripes under his new job description on LinkedIn. Link’s new job description simply reads, “VP Design – Basketball,” which would prove a logical step given his experience working so closely with Nike’s basketball division. Also, another point which seeks to prove his move to adidas, is the fact that a close friend of his, Kris Aman, just so happens to be the brand’s global general manager for its basketball division.
Despite Link declining to comment to Sole Collector when questioned, all signs seem to point towards him joining adidas’ ever-expanding workforce. In late October, Link also shared the following Instagram post, confirming his decision to leave Nike:
