Converse’s new collaboration with artist Sonya Sombreuil and her streetwear brand Come Tees is led by the Chuck 70 Hi, which — like other pieces from the collection — is adorned with digitized works of hand-created art. In celebration of the independent spirit, the iconic silhouette showcases custom designs offering a glimpse into a personal, introspective dreamscape. Each upper panel features a unique motif as the sneaker is executed in a tri-panel graphic blocking technique. The lateral side of the left sneaker is printed with a hand airbrushed “Realities,” while the medial side boasts hand-done tiger stripes. The back of the shoe welcomes a custom Come Tees license plate as well as “Come Tees” stitched in bold black font. Venturing over to the right sneaker, a hand airbrushed “Realms” is implemented on the lateral side, while a tiger print decorates the medial. The signature Converse Chuck 70 license plate emerges at the heel, in addition to “Realms and Realities” branding. Both the left and right shoes are further embellished with a handprint on the tongue, Converse’s Chuck patch in an orange synthetic, co-branded sockliners, and a graphic-printed outsole.
