Editor’s Notes: Following a summer collection made using artisanal Indian fabrics, Antonio Ciongoli and 18 East are back with their latest capsule, Drop Six. The 12-piece collection celebrates the City of Brotherly Love through the brand’s globally influenced lens, as the coinciding lookbook was captured in South Philadelphia by Ian Shiver.

Highlights from 18 East’s new drop include the Gorecki Crossover Cargos, Nearly Reversible Sahasika, and ALL CAPS STUDIO Lamumba tee and tote. The hand-spun cargos draw inspiration from surplus cargo pants that have long been a constant in the Philadelphia skateboarding scene. The Gorecki Cargos are cut from double-weave Indian handloom cotton, featuring an elasticized drawstring waist, a crossover fly referencing Thai fisherman pants, and cinch-tie hems.

The Nearly Reversible Sahasika is made from leftover fabric from the cargo pants, then lined with repurposed block-printed cotton Sarees from Bagru, India. The Sahasika Indian shirt jacket was not initially meant to be reversible, but the finishing on the interior allows the garment to be worn inside-out.

18 East collaborated with Philadelphia-based artist and designer Saeed Ferguson and his design project ALL CAPS STUDIO on the Lamumba tee and tote. Both items are decorated with hand-screened graphics encouraging love and peace.
