This Video Is 2D & 3D Simultaneously

All you need is a pair of sunglasses to take advantage of this intriguing video that is both 2D and 3D, all at the same time. To get the 3D effect, simply place the sunglasses over your right eye alone. The technique is then referred to as the Pulfrich Effect.

To most effectively partake in the three dimensional viewing, you’ll want to watch the clip on a big bright screen in a bright room, while wearing dark sunglasses. Ultimately, this is accomplished by displaying two images on the same screen, using filters to show only one to each eye.

Now press play above to hear British YouTuber Tom Scott more eloquently detail the process, as well as to enjoy the Pulfrich Effect.

In other news, the world’s smallest phone is so tiny you might lose it.
