Last season, Munich-based label A Kind of Guise set off to northern Italy to show off their Spring/Summer 2014 offerings and this time around they headed further east to capture their Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Named "Turkish Delight" after the delectable treat, the inspiration for the collection comes from the vibrant and diverse culture seen in Turkey, specifically the city of Istanbul. While tourist guides tend to focus on cliché descriptions, saying things like where the orient and occident meet, the folks behind A Kind of Guise simply appreciate the dichotomy offered all around; from the old and historically rich buildings next to skyscrapers, shopping malls and modern restaurants, and expensive jewelry and carpets next to fake adidas. Look for the collection soon at select retailers and the brand's online shop.
