Back with an old favorite as Japanese label Markaware delivers its latest lookbook. A name we've followed closely over the years, the brand delivers a sharp and confident collection reflecting designer Shunsuke Ishikawa's love of vintage menswear. While the old-school inspiration is clear, Ishiwaka avoids the repro route, preferring instead to translate instantly recognizable standards into contemporary, youthful pieces. This season he turns to always reliable militaria, remaking classics to varying degrees of authenticity, with the likes of the N-1 Deck Jacket, M-65 Field Jacket, MA-1 Bomber Jacket and the N-3B parka making an appearance. Markaware sets about softening these army outerwear silhouettes with an accompanying wardrobe consisting of cosy knits, jersey rollnecks, slim sweat pants, down gilets and casual wool suits across a palette of camel, rust, cream, navy and grey. The perfect contrast.
