WELCOME TO CONFIRMED

MORE THAN A SNEAKER APP

Originally released in 2015, the adidas CONFIRMED app helped fans of the Three Stripes get to the most exclusive releases at the touch of a button, keeping them well clear of the queues. As of today, CONFIRMED is back. And it is much more than a sneaker app.

adidas’ Senior Director of Digital Strategy, Tareq Nazlawy explains, “We’re thrilled to release the new CONFIRMED app and share our best products and stories with a fidelity that we haven’t been able to before. There’s a whole extended family behind each creation and each partnership; with a dedicated app we can create experiences which celebrate that richness in new and exciting ways.”

CONFIRMED not only caters to the Three Stripes fanatics and sneakerheads with access to some of their most limited and premium drops but also takes a uniquely community-driven approach.

On the importance of this approach, Ebru Ecron, Design Director for adidas’ Statement department says, “Whether it’s working with outside partners or coming together internally to produce innovative products, at the heart of adidas is a deeply collaborative spirit. This collaborative ethos extends to CONFIRMED and we’re incredibly excited that the platform will allow us to showcase our most forward-thinking products that we’ve brought to life with our partners.”

Promising high-end curated sneaker content the app will showcase authentic insights into future designs and collabs, interviews with the brand’s impressive roster of partners and collaborators, and editorial content focusing on adidas’ creator community.

Kicking off with a US launch before rolling out globally in the future, the app is already offering the chance to register for both the highly anticipated Noah collection and the upcoming Sean Wotherspoon SuperEarth.

Additionally, the adidas Creators Club loyalty program is fully integrated into the app, offering loyalty points and rewards like priority access to drops, further elevating that exclusive CONFIRMED experience.

The new app launches on August 25. Download CONFIRMED here for access to the Noah, SuperEarth, and atmos A-ZX collections.

ADIDAS ORIGINALS WELCOMES NOAH

Noah and adidas Originals’ collaborative collection is an appreciation and a celebration of the oceans. Comprising two footwear silhouettes and a range of matching apparel, the collection makes use of Primeblue — a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic: upcycled plastic waste, intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean.

“The water and the ocean were the backdrops for everything where I grew up. We spent incredible amounts of time at the beach, fishing or just hanging out near the water,” Noah co-founder Brendon Babenzien explains. “Now that I am an adult with the ability to see the damage we’ve been doing to the environment and bodies of water, in particular, I am in a position to try to correct some of that damage.”

The collection is split into a lifestyle and a performance part. The lifestyle section comprises two colorways of the archival SL72 model, which feature the aforementioned Prime Blue on their uppers. The performance part of the collection takes inspiration from Babenzien’s passion for running and sees the Noah co-founder rework the SL20 lightweight running shoe.

The adidas Originals by Noah collection launches globally on August 27 via the adidas CONFIRMED app and adidas.com.

Wotherspoon’s Three Stripe Debut

Sean Wotherspoon made waves when he chose to let his contract with Nike run out in order to pursue other creative opportunities. It didn’t take long for rumors of a possible adidas collaboration to heat up when the Round Two co-founder was seen wearing various YEEZY and adidas sneakers on Instagram.

The SUPEREARTH by SW x adidas Originals Superstar is the designer’s first sneaker with the Three Stripes and has long been leaked and teased on social media. True to Wotherspoon’s vegan and environmentally-conscious lifestyle, the SUPEREARTH Superstar features 100 percent recycled paper laces, cork insoles, and a rubber sole made using 10 percent recycled waste rubber.

With the Superstar celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and being the subject of many high-profile collaborations, including the luxurious Prada collection last year, it made sense that Wotherspoon’s first silhouette would be this classic.

Sean Wotherspoon’s SUPEREARTH x adidas Originals Superstar will be released on the adidas CONFIRMED app on August 29.

A Is for atmos

With adidas celebrating the legacy of its iconic ZX lineage via a relaunch of 2008/09’s A-ZX series, it was a no-brainer to partner with atmos for the letter “A.”

This time, the A-ZX series will see adidas release 26 new takes of the ZX “thousands” series — one for each letter of the alphabet — designed either in collaboration with a creative partner or as a one-off concept inspired by the Three Stripes’ archive.

atmos’ wild take on the ZX 8000, dubbed the G-SNK, pays homage to the Japanese retailer’s previous ZX collaboration from 2011. It blends fluorescent colors, opting for a green, yellow, and blue color scheme, with unconventional materials. The sneaker’s upper features glow-in-the-dark faux snakeskin and hi-vis yellow pony hair.

As much of a looker as the atmos x adidas ZX 8000 is, the box it comes in takes a much more muted approach. The packaging comprises an all-white, commemorative A-ZX box.

After a highly-limited, Japan-exclusive drop in May, the atmos x adidas ZX 8000 G-SNK will be available globally via the adidas CONFIRMED app and at adidas.com/A-ZX on August 28.
