Update: Thursday November 7,  5.00 a.m. EST: The Prada x adidas collaboration has officially been confirmed. Prada posted the announcement on Instagram early today. Read the original story below.

Very early rumors suggest that adidas and Prada will be releasing a set of collaborative sneakers in the near future. According to the leak account that shared the rumor, the collection comprises two versions of what are tentatively being called the “adidas Prada Sailing” shoe.

The only other information that exists, apart from the name of the model, is the proposed “White/Silver/Red” color code and a rumored retail price of $350, which figures to sit in between both brand’s typical price points.

The name, “adidas Prada Sailing” shoe, could potentially have some sort of connection to Prada’s line of America’s Cup sneakers. The brand, of course, has a storied history of sponsoring teams racing in the sailing competition.

With next to nothing to go on, it’s hard to verify any such rumor, though the move wouldn’t be surprising for either party. adidas has a long history of fashion collaborations, working with Rick Owens, Raf Simons, and Alexander Wang to name a few. Prada, having recently relaunched Linea Rossa, is part of a fashion world that continues to reinvent itself and blur the lines between streetwear and high-end fashion.

As always, stay tuned for more information.
