After dropping a T-shirt in support of Wikipedia, Advisory Board Crystals has now teamed up with non-profit organization, The Little Sun Foundation founded by artist Olafur Eliasson for another collaborative T-shirt, to bring light to the most vulnerable communities.
The Little Sun Foundation raises funds to bring solar light and phone charging to refugee camps and to students, and this special edition tee touches on the sustainable development goals most relevant to the foundation’s efforts, as well as being centered around Olafur’s concept of the “tripod of the art institution.”
When you read the graphic on the shirt from top to bottom, composed of a mixture of screen print, puff print, matte and holographic vinyl processes, the layout functions similarly to a flow chart leading back to the goal of working together for a stellar tomorrow. Additional details include Abc.’s “authenticity label,” pull-tab detailing and a numbered Abc. “information label.”
Priced at $125 USD, 80 of the 108 total shirts will be made available to the public exclusively at the Marciano Art Foundation in Los Angeles. All proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the Little Sun Foundation.
