With airports around the world in disarray and flights being canceled left, right, and center, it’s a sad truth that you might be spending longer in an airport this year than you’d like. Airports are never nice places, even at the best of times so it’s worth doing everything you can to ease the pain of delays, cancellations, and long queues. We’re doing it the way that we know best: copping nice clothes.
In general, airport outfits are a forgotten land where style goes to die. That is, excluding those donned by celebs in the ‘90s. Grubby sweats, bad sandals, and an overall sense of sartorial resignation make airports even more depressing than they need to be so we’re here to lighten them up a bit.
Below, our Market Editors have put together three airport outfits from Luisaviaroma to refresh your trip this year. Each of which caters to comfort and style, tapping labels like Les Tien, Suicoke, New Balance, and more. They’re proof that traveling in style is, indeed, possible.

Essential
Applicable to all of the below outfits, this passport holder from Bottega Veneta is the kind of beautiful object that boosts serotonin in a pace that's known to sap it. Made from high-end leather, the Intrecciato weave will age beautifully over time, becoming the souvenir that keeps on giving.
Outfit 1
When it comes to airport outfits, most people immediately reach for sweats. It makes sense, they're comfortable and warm. But there's a difference between your cozy tracksuit that should remain in your home and this Les Tien one. Heavyweight cotton supplies the comfort while a faded wash and distressed hems offer up a vintage finish. We're rounding out this simple, easygoing outfit with the king of airport shoes: the New Balance 993.
Outfit 2
Upping the luxe levels a little for our second outfit, we've opted for Kanye's YEEZY GAP Dove hoodie because of its nicely oversized proportions. Coupling the washed-out vintage black of the Dove Hoodie with some jet black Y-3 shorts keeps things casual and understated — nobody wants to be center of attention in an airport. That said, the toned-down palette of this outfit is given a shock of energy with the Suicoke x Lanvin Curb Sandals on foot.
Outfit 3
For those looking to travel in something other than sweats, this outfit should do the job. Slightly less informal, it still retains the comfort needed for a successful airport ensemble. Gallery Dept. takes care of the T-shirt with the reversible French Logo T-Shirt — a reversible T-shirt is a serious asset when traveling; flip it around when you land to feel a new person. Off-White™ Cargo Pants are a cheat code, giving you the chance to get a few more essentials onto the plane while conserving cabin bag space.
