Korean sunglass brand Gentle Monster has teamed up with AMBUSH for a new eyewear capsule. The new silhouette is called the Zip Tye, made of a full-acetate frame in clear colors with metal cable ties on the front and sides of the frames.
These shades can essentially be seen as an extension of AMBUSH’s FW19 collection, which was inspired by the iconic David Bowie movie The Man Who Fell to Earth. “I wanted to create sunglasses to compliment this mood, but in a modern 2019 way,” AMBUSH creative director Yoon Ahn said in a press release.
These bold, futuristic frames are available in three colors: orange, purple, and clear. Retailing at $350, the sunglasses are now available for purchase at Gentle Monster’s website. Take a closer look at each colorway below.
