AMBUSH

Last year, Japanese brand AMBUSH brought us a reinterpretation of its hyped hoodie with Antonia, a collection in collaboration with Nike, and even a capsule with Amazon. Now, the Tokyo-based label is here to remind us that its offerings stretch far beyond hoodies and long-sleeve tees with a collection of safety pin-inspired jewelry.

Titled the “HUES” collection, AMBUSH’s new jewelry line consists of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings it may look easy to replicate with your standard Ryman supplies. Given the silver and gold-plated materials used to create them, however, we think it’s safe to say you’ll spot a fake pretty easily.

Inspired by John Hughes’ ’80s classic, The Breakfast Club, the HUES collection is said to embody a coming of age, when a sense of self-identity emerges from the stereotype placed upon us. Some of our favorite finds from the new line include a necklace and bracelet made out of safety pins, a pin with “AMBUSH” engraved on cubic heads, and a safety pin mono-earring with a bunny charm attached to the end, all made Japan from 925 sterling silver.

The pieces are available to buy not long after Virgil Abloh debuted his own first jewelry line in a Paris pop-up space at the Hôtel Costes, which took major design cues from the humble paper clip.

Take a closer look at some of our favorite new AMBUSH pieces below.
