Anatomy of an Angel is the first-ever Carrara marble sculpture produced by Damien Hirst. The original now resides in Oslo's Ekebergparken public park, as it was completed by Hirst back in 2008. Based on Alfred Boucher’s sculpture L’Hirondelle, Damien's variation reveals that the creature is indeed human after all.
Alongside Hirst, Other Criteria has recently made available miniature sculptures of Anatomy of an Angel for sale. These limited edition collector's items are optioned in black and white, as each boasts the signature, title and edition number etched into the resin by the artist.
Fans of Hirst should also check out his new “Pill” jewelry collection.
