Some online stores release up to 300 items a day, but Andreas Murkudis plans to do things differently. The Berlin-based concept store will be expanding its offerings to include e-commerce later this year, but turning traditional ideas of fast fashion and limitless choice on its head, Murkudis’s online store will stock just 99 items.
To celebrate the launch of its online store, Andreas Murkudis will host four cycles of auctions featuring rare fashion and art items the store has collected over the years. Featured items include Margiela Archive pieces, a fax Helmut Lang sent to Andreas Murkudis with his signature, lookbooks from Margiela with original pictures glued in, rare Raf Simons Gloves, and a copy of Comme des Garcon’s SIX Magazine of which only 10 were printed.
The online auction will begin on April 7 and the complete online store will launch this fall.
