Apple is set to unveil an AirPod case that will double as a wireless iPhone charger, according to the Nikkei Asian Review.
The portable case will be able to wirelessly charge AirPods and in theory should be able to charge the iPhone 8 range and iPhone X, which all have wireless charging capabilities. While nothing is confirmed as yet, Nikkei‘s source says that we could see the chargers hit stores by the end of this year.
The report comes just one day after rumors emerged that Apple is working on high-end AirPods with added water resistance and noise cancellation, as well as over-ear headphones to compete with audio heavyweights such as Bose and Sennheiser.
