Today, Apple announced the latest update to their AirPods lineup with a "Pro" model. The newest installment will be a commuters dream featuring noise-cancellation technology, adaptive EQ, adjustable ear tips, and more.
Priced at $249, the Pro features two built-in microphones that detect external sound and then cancel it out. Apple says that the noise cancellation is adjusted up to 200 times per second. The AirPods also have superior sound, thanks to Adaptive EQ, which automatically tunes the low- and mid-frequencies of the music to the shape of an individual’s ear.
When you're not looking to be immersed, transparency mode allows users to simultaneously listen to music while still hearing the environment around them. Switching between noise cancellation and transparency more is simple and done by holding the new force sensor on the stem.
The AirPods Pro will also come in a wireless charger case, and will get up to five hours of listening time. In noise cancellation mode, AirPods Pro deliver up to four and a half hours of listening time and up to three and a half hours of talk time on a single charge. Through additional charges from the charging Case, the Pro deliver over 24 hours of listening time or over 18 hours of talk time.
Apple's newest AirPods Pro will be available on October 30 at apple.com.
