The Animoji feature is available to users with newer iPhone and iPads such as the iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR. It takes advantage of the front-facing, TrueDepth camera and A11 Bionic chip, which enables the phone to capture your face at numerous angles and then animate it into the animal of your choice. The captured images can then be shared across iMessage.
Should you not fancy being morphed into a wild boar, there’s also an option called Memoji that allows you to create a customized emoji of your own face.
The release date for Apple’s iOs 12.2 is yet to be announced. Updates to follow.
