01 (3) Avengers: Endgame marvel

Avengers: Endgame is coming back to theaters this weekend with a smattering of added footage. Now, thanks to MCU Cosmic, we have a little more information about what we might expect.

Warning: potential spoilers ahead.

According to reports, there will be a tribute to the late Stan Lee, which will also appear on the film’s Blu-ray release. There will also apparently be a deleted scene featuring Hulk and there may be an introduction by directors the Russo Brothers. Finally, there will be a surprise teaser for Spider-Man: Far From Home, which lands in theaters next week.

The news about a re-release with additional footage was first revealed in an interview with Comic Book, in which Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said, “We are doing that. I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much… Yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”

Endgame strayed from Marvel’s tradition of including mid-credits and post-credits scenes, but it sounds like the new footage will remedy that. Talking to Screen Rant, Feige said the new version is “not an extended cut,” but rather, “If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises,” all of which appear to have been leaked already.

On this episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by activist and educator DeRay Mckesson, who schools us on the history of black and gay activism.
