Former Supreme brand director Angelo Baque has quietly run his Awake NY clothing line for a while now, and his new Fall 2017 collection just dropped. It’s a simple but substantial release, consisting of hoodies, tees and curved-brim baseball caps adorned with the brand’s serif typeface logo, available in a ton of colors.

The saturated color story of the Fall 2017 collection meshes well with the faded, almost sun-bleached story of UNION’s new in-house line, which is largely inspired by UNION owner Chris Gibbs’ lived-in, vintage sense of style. Most of the pieces are even styled with UNION’s worn-in looking cropped chinos. Coincidentally, one of the ballcaps happens to be offered in a semi-frozen yellow colorway, reflecting one of the biggest trends of the season.

First debuting in 2013, Awake NY was initially available in Japanese boutiques like SHIPS Jet Blue. After leaving Supreme to start his own creative agency, Baque Creative, earlier this year. He reportedly still works for Supreme in a freelance capacity.

“I’m in no rush to sell it in many places,” Baque said of Awake NY in an earlier interview with WWD. ”I want to make something when I have something to say, not for the sake of selling clothes.”

The new collection from Awake NY is currently available in-store and online at UNION Los Angeles.
