A spinoff TV series on the 1995 buddy cop action comedy Bad Boys is reportedly in the works, and with Gabrielle Union on board reprising her role as Special Agent Sydney "Syd" Burnett from the 2003 sequel, according to Deadline.

Although it has not been confirmed officially, the site reports that the project is being pitched to TV networks and it's expected to be picked up very soon.

The Bad Boys spinoff series will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, who also produced the Bad Boys movies and Doug Belgrad, who worked on the franchise as well, through his 2.0 Entertainment and Primary Wave Entertainment, while writers for the pilot will be handled by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnie.

Furthermore, Bad Boys 3 was rumored to be occurring as Will Smith insisted the project was happening during an interview with BBC Radio 1 in 2016, however, the film has not been confirmed as of yet.
